First Cut

Having victoriously battled mono, strep, and conjunctivitis (simultaneously), I have now returned to the editing suite.  The first cut of Yellow Lights is less than 48 hours away.  I only have 4 scenes with dialogue left to edit.  I have a job interview and a senior project presentation on Friday, but immediately after finishing those, I will complete the scenes - I know how to spend a Friday night.  It looks like the final run time will be between 80 and 90 minutes.

Once we get our first cut done, we're going to begin a major push on the score.  We've already added some existing lyrical music from bands that we've been working with, but the score hasn't gotten much attention yet.  Brian Shih and Sean McBride of Olin College will be writing the score on electric and acoustic guitar - this means it will be excellent.

We'll also be doing some secondary filming on Saturday to fix one costume error, remove an unwanted boom shadow, and add a shot that we meant to film before.  With a bit of hussle, we're still on track for our May 17 test screening - stay tuned!
